Samford University launched their golf tournament fundraiser, the Samford Classic, to support the school’s 15 athletics programs. The tournament had been a success and since it’s launch has raised millions for Bulldogs athletics. However, tournament organizers decided that the gift cards included in their door prizes were too generic and impersonal and wanted to give that gift a glow-up.
Fancards was founded in 2015 as a prepaid financial tech company specializing in collegiately licensed gift and reloadable cards for fans. Samford, meanwhile, is geographically the closest university fo Fancards’ office and already had a strong relationship with the company
